November 12th, 13th and 14th: "Las Parejas 2010" The SMEs fair, from Las Parejas to the world.
In the seventh celebration of the local fair called “Las Parejas 2010”, the Municipality will focus on  activities that promote the local industry, also leaving room for institutions, trade, culture and entertainment.

The main aim we pursue is the expansion and regionalization of the event, to enhance business opportunities for local shops and companies.

In relation to this, Heraldo Mansilla, Mayor of Las Parejas said: “We are delighted with the new profile that we will give the fair of our city. We want to promote the name of Las Parejas in the region, in the province and, why not, in the in the whole country. In this way we will be strengthening our industries, our products and above all our greatest capital, which is our people and their skills in all areas”, specified the Mayor.

Subsequently Mansilla added: We have very gifted people, well-regarded products, reputable companies and we must make all this be well-known all over, to broaden the horizons. With the new approach we have given the fair, we are taking a significant first step in that direction,” concluded the local leader. The magnificent site of 14 hectares of the “Parque Municipal” will be specially refurbished for the occasion, creating a suitable place for a promising event.

 Among the sectors of the exhibition, the industry will occupy a significant place where the quality and variety of the products manufactured in the city will be fully appreciated.

Thanks to a team of professionals working in the Municipality of Las Parejas an extensive network of international contacts has been laid down, thus promoting the arrival of foreign delegations to participate in the event of our city, among which it is worthwhile mentioning the representatives of the Metro Chamber from Kentucky, UPS, and the Citizen’s Union Bank.

In addition to the contacts from the United States, there are also advanced negotiations with delegations from Europe.

In the artistic and cultural segment there will be room for the traditional and the merry, and the performances of “Chaqueño Palavecino”, “Los Palmeras” and “Cielo Razzo” are already confirmed. Local artists will also join them, “Los Lirios de Santa Fe” among others.  In this way we seek to please a wide audience through musical expressions deeply rooted in the region.

Moreover, in the event “Las Parejas 2010” a curious competition will be held, in which the public will have active participation. It is called “SMEs Challenge 2010, Road Crossing”. It is an original and funny way of testing participants’ driving skills and knowledge in several areas. In addition to the obstacles on the track, participants will have to face several surprise challenges put forward by the organization.

The event “Las Parejas 2010” will be a milestone in the region, and the city will display all its potentiality, primarily showing the big technological breakthroughs in the metalworking industry, worldwide well-known.

Las Parejas 2010, it crosses the border

On the recommendation of the Mayor Heraldo Mansilla and thanks to the work of a team of professionals, an extensive network of international contacts has been laid down. This brought the possibility of receiving foreign delegations in our city, who will participate in the event to be held on November 12th, 13th and 14th.

These efforts began in February, when Dr Diego Mansilla, Graciela Capisano and Engineer Ricardo Pigini, local government officials, travelled to Louisville. There they participated in different meetings with the aim of promoting commercial trade with industries from our city, institutional and cultural exchanges, and also strengthening ties of friendship.

As the event “Las Parejas 2010” is nearing, there are ongoing contacts with the Metro Chamber of Commerce, the President and CEO of the World Trade Center from Kentucky Edwin Webb, the Vicepresident of the World Trade Center from Kentucky Ying Juan Rogers, the organizers and officials of the Kentucky Exposition Center and the staff responsible for the International Sister Cities from Kentucky.

Ying Juan Rogers in particular was really enthusiastic about the event and he maintains regular contacts with the local government of Las Parejas, in order to know about the local industries, as well as their localization and the schedule of the event.

In addition to the above mentioned, there are other entities which show a keen interest to participate in the great event in Las Parejas, such as the Head of UPS and representatives of the Citizen’s Union Bank.

In addition to the contacts from the United States, there are also advanced negotiations with delegations from Europe, which were personally opened by the Mayor Mansilla.

The major objective of showing the potentiality of our city through the event “Las Parejas 2010” is an ongoing expanding process.
