Industrial production, though mainly dedicated to the production of agricultural machinery has diversified and there are 199 SMEs, which employ 2304 metallurgical employees in an industrial park of 150 hectares.

The SMEs business sector that corresponds to agricultural machinery and agro-spare parts manufacturing (manufacturers of parts that are cast or forged by cutting or machining of metallic and non-metallic materials) has formed a cluster, located in the centre of Argentina, which employs about 60000 people directly or indirectly.
